HOOPLA adds our films CASTORES and ZOOFOBIA to its catalogue

We love sharing news like this: our documentaries BEAVERS: Patagonia Invader and Zoofobia are now part of the catalog of Hoopla, the free streaming platform of public libraries in the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

ZOOFOBIA @ HOOPLA

If you live in the US, Canada, Australia or New Zealand and have a public library card, you can now watch both films for free through Hoopla. We are extremely proud that these stories reach new audiences, especially in a space like libraries, where access to cultural and educational content is key.

In Beavers, we tell the story of the failed introduction of Canadian beavers in Tierra del Fuego and how that decision ended up causing an ecological disaster on a continental scale. And in Zoophobia, we explore the origin and consequences of modern zoos, reaching the moment when an orangutan, the orangutan Sandras, is declared a “non-human person,” in a journey as complex and extravagant as it is revealing.

The fact that these two productions coexist in Hoopla seems perfect to us, because they reflect two axes that we are passionate about: the (sometimes chaotic) link between humans and nature, and the possibility of telling it with precision, reflection and a touch of humor.
